The IIT BHU Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to Vipul Minocha, the founder of DonorView, for revolutionizing our donation management processes. DonorView, an all-in-one, cloud-based software tailored for nonprofit organizations, has alleviated the complexities associated with managing multiple software platforms.
Following his graduation from IIT BHU in 1987, Vipul embarked on a journey that took him from India to the United States in 1989. He initially honed his skills at IBM before venturing into entrepreneurship, establishing two startups before DonorView. Today, under his stewardship, DonorView has soared to remarkable heights, managing an impressive $3.5 billion in donations.
In a candid conversation, Vipul reminisced about his college days, fondly recalling moments spent sipping tea at Mochu’s and skipping 10 a.m. classes to indulge in freshly made jalebis at the cafeteria. His counsel to the younger generation resonates with the wisdom he has accumulated through his own journey — urging them to courageously embrace risks and seize opportunities. He emphasizes that the regret of not trying far surpasses the fear of failure, underscoring the importance of taking bold steps towards one’s aspirations.
Vipul’s journey exemplifies the power of perseverance, innovation, and the willingness to take bold steps. His contributions to the nonprofit sector and his alma mater serve as an inspiration to all.
