Ganesh Chaturthi at IIT (BHU) was a jubilant affair spanning from September 7th to September 17th, bringing together students, faculty, and staff in celebration of Lord Ganesha’s arrival at DG hostel. The festivities commenced with a traditional Maha Aarti on the 7th, setting the tone for ten days of spiritual reverence and cultural immersion. Each evening, the campus resonated with melodious aartis, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and devotion.
The highlight of our celebrations was on September 15th when the campus came alive with cultural performances. From captivating dances to soul-stirring music and rib-tickling stand-up comedy, the event showcased the diverse talents of our community. Students enthusiastically participated, adding their unique flair to the festivities.
On September 17th, we bid adieu to Ganpati Ji with a heartfelt Maha Prasad and grand aarti, starting from 7 PM. The farewell was not just a moment of reflection but a vibrant celebration filled with dance, rhythmic beats of dhol, and lively DJ music. It was a fitting culmination to our ten-day journey of faith and camaraderie.
