Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow has announced the collaboration with the premier technical Institutes of India, IIT (BHU) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to develop a virtual platform to optimize the efficient use of necessary life-saving resources.
The three top-notch Institutions of Uttar Pradesh will work with its government to audit oxygen supplies to hospitals through a monitoring system that will have live information on oxygen status in hospitals and districts. Though the increase in supply of oxygen is crucial, through this partnership, supervision of judicial use of oxygen gas can be accomplished which is equally important. This included the implementation of a live-tracking system through the Management Information System’s live report on the movement of oxygen tankers distribution of oxygen.
This noble initiative was the need of the hour, especially in times when India is battling with the lack of life-sustaining gas, and pooled efforts of the Institutes to channelize their resources and knowledge for the cause is commendable.
